PLC Engineer

We are looking for a PLC Engineer to join our Engineering team based on Heathrow Airport with possibility to travel nationwide.

You will need a number of years’ experience in developing, designing, installing and commissioning instruments/equipment for monitoring, measurement and controlling automated systems using Siemens S-7 TIA Portal. You will also have experience with ASi Safe & Profibus network protocols.

You have a proven understanding of engineering designs, data sheets, instrument drawings, I/O wiring diagrams, calculations and specifications, along with a strong electromechanical understanding, from an automated systems and/or automated warehousing background.

A background in Baggage Handling systems would be highly beneficial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Low Level Controls solutions to complex electro-mechanical and PLC system designs
  • Fault finding and managing programming of PLC software at site.
  • Support of testing phases sexdolls from Factory through to Site acceptance
  • Co-ordination of fault/ defect correction activities on the project system in collaboration with internal team/customer/ stakeholders
  • Review and monitor system performance during installation and testing phases to ensure system is performing within specifications
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with associated site legislative H&S regulations.
  • Strong Mechanical, Electrical and Controls skills.

Salary depending on experience with a possibility to go through various certified trainings (£35-45/hour)
